    3. Hello Sackett Searchers; I've stumbled across a little problem in some information I found on the Ashtabula Co., OH USGenWeb site; There are six DAR lineages listed which show a Martha Sackett 1818-1854 [one has born 1845, another has died 1864]. All show the marriage as 1840: DAR Volume 97, Page 30 Mrs. Mary R. Woodworth Grover, DAR ID Number: 96087 Born in Ashtabula County, Ohio; Wife of Hiram Grover. He was born in Lebanon, Conn.; died in Bloomfield, N. Y. --------- In the marriages for Ashtabula Co., OH is this marriage: Ashtabula County Marriages 1853-1878 [From LDS Film #0890265, Marriage Records, Vol. E-F] Submitted by Carol Page Tilson MARY ANN SACKETT / JAMES WOODWORTH / 08 Dec 1855 In the notes I have for the family of #567-Mark Sackett and Sarah Heal/Heald there is a difference between the information supplied by Patty Chrisman and that provided by Lanny Ellsworth Howard. [Lanny's info is from the Howard family Bible]: Patty has 8 children; William, Horace, Martha, Sally, Miriam (Marian?), David, Jael, Betsey M. Lanny has 6 children for Mark Sacket; Jael, Miriam, David, Betsy, Mark and Joseph. Patty Chrisman supplied information which says that Mark's daughter, Martha, married a James Woodruff but the DAR lineages above would indicate that she married James Woodworth. The problem is that the DAR files show that James Woodworth married Martha Sackett in 1840 while the Ashtabula Co. marriage records posted on the USGenWeb site for Ashtabula Co. do not have this marriage. But I would assume that the DAR has it documented. The 1855 marriage listed above, would be the year after Martha is said to have died. Could it be that the marriage to Mary Ann Sackett in 1855 is Mark's daughter Miriam/Mirian and that James Woodworth married Martha's sister? Best wishes, Thurmon TSFA Historian
