Hello Sackett Searchers; For the family of 567-Mark Sackett there has been a question concerning the number of children he had. Patty Chrisman lists 8 children; 1. William, 2. Horace, 3. Martha, 4. Sally, 5. Miriam (Marian?), 6. David, 7. Jael, 8. Betsey M. Based upon the Howard family Bible, Lanny Elsworth Howard lists 6 children; 1. Jael, 2. Miriam, 3. David, 4. Betsy, 5. Mark, 6.Joseph. The 1850 census listss five children at home in that year: 1. David, age 14; 2. Jael, age 12; 3. Betsey M., age 10; Mark, age 8; Joseph, age 4. However, tracing the family of Mark Sackett through the census from 1820-1850 would seem to indicate that there were possibly 14 different children in his household through the years.
