Kari: I found William and his daughter Jennie listed in transcriptions of Cloverdale Cemetery, Putnam Co.: http://www.rootsweb.com/~inputnam/cem_clover2.htm CLOVERDALE CEMETERY; Section 2 SACKETT Matilda, Dec ?? ???? - Aug ?? ???? 79y William H., 1 Jun 1880 34y 6m 18d Jennie, d/o Wm. H. & E. A., 8 Oct 1883 1y 10m 11d [Jennie's death date, or age appears to be wrong. She is listed as Becca J. age 1 in the 1880 census. The info from the book gives her birth as 27 Nov 1878 and death as 8 Oct 1883. Hmmm!] There is an error somewhere in the dates for William. Figuring the 34 y 6 m 18 d from 1 Jun 1880 gives a birth date of 13 Nov 1845. His birth date given in the text you posted is 13 Nov 1846 and, it this date is correct, and his age at death was 34, then his death would have been in 1881. However, if his household was enumerated 11 Jun 1880 and he was enumerated and his age on his last birthday was 34 years, then he died after that date and would indicate his birth was probably in 1845. Maybe the headstone transcription is wrong and his death was actually 1 Jul 1880 which would put his birth as 14 Dec 1845. Isn't this fun?
