    3. Grace: The added information is a great help. I believe that I found the connection. Using your information, I did some checking in Weygant's book, the Westfield Towns Records [transcribed by Ted Mudge], and my census files and came up with the following: Wm Sacket [W #227] State: MA Year: 1790 County: Hampshire Roll: M637_4 Township: Westfield Page: 129 Image: 0690 Census: 4 - 3 - 1 Wm, Junr Sacket [W #674] State: MA Year: 1790 County: Hampshire Roll: M637_4 Township: Westfield Page: 129 Image: 0690 Census: 1 - 1 - 2 ========================= William Sacket 1730 - 1802 [W #227] +Lydia Weller 1739 - 1828 2 Mollie Sacket 1760 - 1809 [W #673] 2 William Sacket 1762 - [W #674] 2 Lydia Sacket 1764 - 1838 [W 675] 2 Moses Sackett 1766 - 1850 [W #676] 2 Royal Sacket 1769 - 1804 [W #677] 2 Joel Sacket 1772 - [W #678] 2 James Sacket 1774 - 1844 [W #679] 2 John Sacket 1780 - 1807 [W #680] Sacket, William [W #227] State: MA; Year: 1800; County: Hampshire; Township: Westfield Roll: M32_15 Page: 119 Image: 118 Census: 012 01 - 110 11 William Sacket 1762 - [W #674] +Olive Dean 3 William Sacket 1788 - [not in Weygant but listed in the Westfield Town Records] 3 Samuel Sacket 1790 - [W #1561] 3 Julia Sacket 1792 - 1852 [W #1562] +James Noble 3 Marvin Sacket 1796 - [W #1563] 3 Laura Sacket 1798 - [W #1564] Sacket, William, Jr. [W #674] State: MA; Year: 1800; County: Hampshire; Township: Westfield Roll: M32_15 Page: 122 Image: 121 Census: 220 10 - 300 10 ======================= It appears that the family moved west after the 1800 census [probably after the older William died in 1802] and were missed in the 1810 census but they show up in Lewis County, NY in 1820. So it appears that I managed to miss them. If this proves to be the family of your James Noble Sackett [notice that his aunt, Julia, married a James Noble] I would love to have the information you have for this line to add to the Sackett database. The information we have for the ancestry of William (b. 1788) can be found in the family of Thomas Sackett on the TSFA website at: http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~tsfa/ Thurmon TSFA Historian On Thu, 4 Mar 2004 14:29:59 -0600 "Richard Keir" <rkeir@mctcnet.net> writes: > Thurmon and all, > > Thanks for the reply. 3. Hi Thurmon, What wonderful information. I believe we have made the connection between my husband's Sackett/Makepeace family and the information you provided on William. It would appear that they are connected to the first Thomas Sackett in the Sackett database which I looked at this morning. I will try to get my information updated on the computer and send you a copy so that you can add it to what you have. It may be several days as I am now feeling under the weather (I hope it's not the flu). Thanks again. Grace Keir
