As I was looking for some other information on a brick wall, I ran across this Index on family search.org, it is in the United States Collection of Files/records. United States , War of 1812, Index to service records , 1812-1815, the names of Sackett participants can be found on roll indexed Russ-Sai, images 1993 through 2008. These will give the information needed to recover the service record files from the National Archives. Butch Lawson
Butch some of these records have already been copied and reside at http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~sackettmckayhistory/ I don't know if I ever got all of any war, but I did get several from each. I realy need to go back through all of my stuff becuase I think a lot happened after my last trip there and I never finished uploading everything. There is one link that syas Sackett's but there is also a second one that says Military.
