After I posted the message below; It occured to me that I didn't make the point that I intended to make. That is, the one supplying the information for the headstone inscription must to have given what they had as her birthdate. The age at death was calculated upon that information. I might have made my point better: that the consistency of the dates and age tends to confirm the accuracy of the transcription of what is on the gravestone; i.e. that 12 May is more likely than 2 May.
