Anne, It looks as if his primary interest is the path itself, rather than the Hooker party. Nevertheless it might be worth letting him know of our connection. I am not aware of there being a list of people who made the journey with Hooker. He might find himself with a secondary project of compiling a list if enough researchers write in. Chris
