Pg. 158 SOLOMON SACKETT, Representative for Colebrook, Litchfield County: Of Colebrook, was a member of the House in 1870, the Legislature being in session that year at New Haven, and is at present a member of the Board of Selectmen. He has been engaged as a commercial traveler, representing Winsted cutlery and agricultural implements produced there, having been employed in the business for twenty-five years. He is an independent Republican, and a firm advocate of civil service reform. Mr. Sackett was born at Sandisfield, Mass., and is fifty-eight years of age.
