This Earl Leroy Sackett is listed as being born in New York. In the 1900 census for Wellsville, Allegany, New York; he is lsited as age 8 born in Feb 1892). He is a great-grandson of Merrill Cleveland Sackett. Ted then noticed that Admiral Sackett was born in 1897 in Nebraska. and noted, correctly, that Admiral Sackett is not in the Sackett database. According to census data, Rear Admiral Earl L.Sackett, b. March 1897, was a son of Samuel L. Sackett, (b. Apr. 1860 , per 1900 census) and his wife Minnie A. ____.
