William Penn Cemetery, Philadelphia, PA, lists Lafayette Sackett, age 20, as having died of consumption on Nov 18, 1873. He is listed as a US war vet. See http://files.usgwarchives.net/pa/philadelphia/cemeteries/willpenn02.txt The information appears to fit the son of Jacob R Sackett and Ann Eliza Brittin. The same file lists an Eliza Sackett, d. 6/26/1873, age 56, died of consumption, from Montgomery Co., PA. This may be Ann Eliza Brittan. Three other Sacketts are listed, two of whom were removed from other cemeteries (Joseph L., removed from Newtown, 4/1871; Mary H., removed from N. Cedar Hill Cem., 5/3/1888). The third person is Phebe Sackett, age 76, 23rd Ward Philadelphia, died of palsy 2/4/1873. Ted

Sackett & Ann Eliza Brittin, would not have been old enough to serve in the Civil War. I have no documentation for his place of death or burial. However, Jacob R. Sackett (who is not included in the transcription) did serve - N.J. Civil War Record: Battalion Non-Commissioned Staff - Company A, First Regiment - Cavalry - Jacob R.
