    3. 4-21-2009 I hope that Tom Smith will respond also, but I will just chime in that I thought that the 12 markers exact match list does not yet have enough people from the non-Simon lines to know from only those 12 markers how far back the lines connect up (we're all pretty sure that we are related to each other within the last 400 years). Upgrading to the 25 and 37 marker tests has helped provide more distinct markers, but I'm not sure that there are enough participants yet to say anything definitive about descent from John the colonist (except that we need more samples). My uncle, Robert E. Sacket (maybe the only one "t" participant, so far), agreed to have the 37 marker upgrade. Even at the 12 marker level, though, it would appear that our line is more closely connected with definite Simon descendants than to the Vermont and other lines. Again, that was a surprise because the information in Weygant tried to make a link between our Skene Douglass Sackett of Connecticut through a proposed Josiah Crego Sackett and then to Captain Richard Sackett, whose line links back to John the colonist. Best to everyone and happy hunting!
