    1. [SACKETT] A Summary of Sacketts -- Mystery Document
    2. Nancy Cluff Siders
    3. Folks, Alice Sackett (TSFA Member #221) of San Antonio, TX has donated a document that was given to her son while he was stationed at Wright Patterson in Dayton, Ohio. Alice attempted to send it as attachments but you know what RootsWeb does to attachments; spits them out to the List Administrator. I offered and have done just that, to place them on her listing on the SACKETT mailing list's Subscribers' Listing for others access at: http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~sidersn/sackett/newmethod.htm or in case the above long URL wraps to a second line, try this shortened version: http://snipurl.com/b63rg Look for Alice's listing (Sackett, Alice) in the alphabetical list of subscribers. Click on "Summary of Sacketts" link just under her name and locatiion. There are seven pages accessible from another web page. There is information from a family bible. The line of descent appears to me to be Simon/John/William/Jonathon/Reuben/Cyrus/Joseph/ John/Perry/John Harvey. Then it gets confusing. I just checked Thurmon's db and there does appear to be a little information on these pages that does not exist there. Right now, it is a mystery document as to where it originated. Alice is checking with her son to see if he remembers the source. The explanation on the page is all that is known at this time. If it looks familiar to anyone, please let us all know on this list. Thanks! Later...Nancy List Administrator for SACKETT and TSFA Registrar, The Sackett Family Association (TSFA)

    3. Nancy and All Most of the information we have for this family line came from submissions by Cindi Owens. The format of the information contained in the images is a bit confusing. However, The information contained in gift004.jpg indicates that the Mystery Family relates to the individual we have as Harvey Sackett (1882-1960), m, Ethel B. ______. The Sackett Database has no children listed for this couple. This document has his name as John Harvey. A note at the bottom of the page states: "John Harvey is or "was" my father-in-law." The next page (gift005) has in the 10th Generation: John Harvey Sackett, Born Feb. 6, 1882; Died June 15, 1960; Son of Roxie Sears & Perry Sackett." We only had the years for his birth and death. Information the 11th and 12th Generations is new information. 11th Generation; "John Perry Sackett, Born Nov. 27, 1928, Married Evelyn Jean Wilson in 1948. (Descendants of John Harvey Sackett) 12th Generation: Descendants of John Perry Sackett contains detail information for probable living individuals. The statement on the page (gift004) that John Harvey "is or 'was' my father-in-law" would seem to indicate that the arthor of the document was Evelyn Jean (nee Wilson) Sackett.
