I probably need to revisit the project. There are a number of Campbells in Sangamon County in the 1850 census, but of course she was married about 7 years before that. I think her obit is up on the Sackett family site, but I know it says nothing, as I have read it. There are no leads in the Sangamon County "brag books" of the 19th century (I think they usually call these "histories" but they don't generally seem to put folks in them unless they they are "success stories"--so I tend to think of them as bragging about the greatness of the county for which they were written!) I think there is floating around the web someplace a copy of Margarite Campbell's marriage certificate or license floating on the net someplace, and it does not name her parents. The Illinois Secretary of State has a website that tells, for each county in Illinois, what county records there are for each county and in which Illinois regional repository the documents lie in. I think at this point, the only way to find out more about who her parents were is to look at wills and estate records, maybe land records, to see if Margarite is mention in any wills. Concerning the Kerns, into which Elizabeth and some of the other Samuel Sackett children married, I found out from wills just who John Kern's parents were, particularly that their mother's name was Pfifer. I do not know if it would yield anything, but if she has estate papers in Macon County, Missouri, there is an off chance that it could mention siblings or other relatives who are Campbells. But, at this time, it is a brick wall through which nobody has yet broken that I know of. I have visited Sangamon County's library, but I had no where near the amount of information that you saw on my Ancestry tree at the time. Boy would I love to make another trip up there! As for the data on my tree, I would be VERY pleased to see it on the Sackett site, but as Thurmon has said it cannot go up yet due to hackers. Once that problem is resolved, I would be overjoyed to send it for submission, or if Thurmon or someone else wants to download what I have from Ancestry and put it up, splendid. I think some of it has been added in the past, by Thurmon (?) but I have more data now than when the addition was made. I must say that I feel humbled yet proud to have my data appear on a site as respected as the Sackett Family's, and to be available for the family to use it! Mike Fisher Mike Fisher

John and Phoebe born in PA, Enos in Onio and the rest in Illinois. Samuel Sackett, age 25, b in Ohio and Margarite, age 26, b. in Ohio and children Elizabeth, age 5; Enos, age 3; and John, age 2. 1. [SACKETT] Enos Campbell
    2. History of the early settlers of Sangamon County, Illinois : "centennial record" Has anyone seen this on Ancestry? It seems to document a lot of the Campbell families. Although Enos #2 just states that he has 2 children from what I took a look at. Maybe more here, but I didn't have time to look too closely. Kari Roehl
