Like Thurman, I had never heard of Caroline Sackett, but that she was living with the Goodman family seems to me to clench the fact that she was indeed a child of this marriage. Samuel and his wife Margarite Campbell had a daughter named Serena (spelled variously) and I think it has been suggested before that she was named after Syrena/Irene Goodman. If it all pans out according to the reasoning applied, it represents an interesting new chapter of research for Samuel Sackett's family. Mike Fisher
