    2. Thurmon King
    3. Hi Debbie, Our main interest is in descendants of Sacketts. This includes those descending from Sackett females. So, we are interested in what you have relating to your line back to your Sackett ancestor. You can send the information to me at my email address thurmonking@gmail.com and I will add it to the database to be posted on the website. If you want to correspond with me directly instead of through the mailing list, we can work it out. 3. This may only add to the confusion, but here's how I do it: I first look for our common ancestor. My first cousins and I have the same grandfather, for instance. Then I compare to see if the unknown cousin is on the same "level" of our family tree as I am (the same generation down from that common ancestor). If we're off by a generation (or two), we are once (or twice) removed, etc. It confuses everybody at first. After you have figured it out a couple of times, it starts making sense--honest! 3. Hi Debbie, In regard to what we would like to have. If you have information that corrects anything we have for your line, we would like to have that information Although we have information for over 7,000 living individuals in the database, the names and information for them is not posted on the website. This is explained at the bottom of each page of the database online. However, we do like to have information for as many of the family as possible so that it will be available for future generations of researchers as the 1920 cutoff date is moved up. For an example; My mother is listed on the website at: http://sackettfamily.info/tekdatabase/g4/p4385.htm There are two children listed for her, Donal and Queechy who are deceased. The names of three of us who are still living are not posted online. But the database contains our names, the names of our spouses and children, their spouses and children. So then, submit as much as you would feel comfortable with submitting with the understanding that the names and information for living individuals will not be posted online. 2. Hi Teri, You can write to the list to contact Bridget. Or you can use the information provided by Bridget that is detailed on the website once Chris updates it. I hope that you two get connected. 1. Re: [SACKETT] new member question
    2. Hi Debbie, You can provide as much or as little info as you want. It's nice to have a picture so that we have a face with the name, but if you would rather not, that's fine too. Again, as much family information that you want to provide is great. It has been the policy to not have anything in the published database on people born after 1920. We discussed this at the last business meeting and I know we did not change the year, so I think this is correct. You can contact Chris Sackett or Thurmon King to provide your family information. It is always wonderful to have new members with new challenges and potentially new information that might crash someones brick wall. I look forward to seeing you listed as a new member on the website.
