Remember that spelling wasn't always standardized, even among individuals. The given name of one of my ancestors was spelled four different ways during four different censuses. Estelle conceivably could be listed in someone's database as Estella, Stella, or some other variation, plus there's the Sackett/Sacket variation in the surname. Thurmon: My apologies. I must have written the name "Woodruff" on the information I gave you. all of my information has "Martha and James Woodworth." I must have just had that other name stuck in my head. I do have a few "Woodruffs" in my line! The info. on Mark Sackett and family that I have compiled is primarily from Court and Land records I traanscribed in Ashtabula Co., several years ago. Here is a snippet that provides quite a bit of informqiton: March Term 1854 ....Court of Common Pleas....Ashtabula County......Town of Jefferson.....the twentyseventh day of March.....1854..... That said Mark Sacket departed this life on the 14th day of February AD 1853 leaving eleven heirs to wit: William Sackett of Canfield, in the state of New York, Martha who is intermarried with James Woodworth of the County of Ashtabula and State of Ohio; Horace Sacket of Canfield State of New York; Mary Ann who intermarried with Joseph Hubbard of the County of Ashtabula; Marian who is intermarried with Casper Titus, of the Township of [Vessassco] in the Count y of Erie and State of Pennsylvania, and David Sacket, Betsy M., Mark, and Joseph S. Sacket who are infants of the County of Ashtabula and State of Ohio and Sally Sacket who heretofore married one Joseph Smith and died leaving as her heirs at law Saphronia who is intermarried with Charles Reed; Chloe who is intermarried with Augustus Goodale; Mary Smith; who are of full age and Ira B. Hello Sackett Searchers: There is a recent query posted on the Sackett Family Forum at genforum.com concerning Watson Sackett. Doing a search on Google I found that the SACKETT-L had Barbara Byrd subscribed for a while in 2001 who was looking for information relating to Watson Sackett. Kari Roehl and I have been working the past week or so on this family. And, although we have not come up with a connection for him to any known Sacketts in my database; we have developed quite a bit of information for his family. If anyone can come up with any additional information it will be appreciated. Especially if you can find where Watson was born in the state of NY. Hello Sackett Searchers; For the family of 567-Mark Sackett there has been a question concerning the number of children he had. Patty Chrisman lists 8 children; 1. William, 2. Horace, 3. Martha, 4. Sally, 5. Miriam (Marian?), 6. David, 7. Jael, 8. Betsey M. Based upon the Howard family Bible, Lanny Elsworth Howard lists 6 children; 1. Jael, 2. Miriam, 3. David, 4. Betsy, 5. Mark, 6.Joseph. The 1850 census listss five children at home in that year: 1. David, age 14; 2. Jael, age 12; 3. Betsey M., age 10; Mark, age 8; Joseph, age 4. However, tracing the family of Mark Sackett through the census from 1820-1850 would seem to indicate that there were possibly 14 different children in his household through the years. [Lanny's info is from the Howard family Bible]: Patty has 8 children; William, Horace, Martha, Sally, Miriam (Marian?), David, Jael, Betsey M. Lanny has 6 children for Mark Sacket; Jael, Miriam, David, Betsy, Mark and Joseph. Patty Chrisman supplied information which says that Mark's daughter, Martha, married a James Woodruff but the DAR lineages above would indicate that she married James Woodworth. The problem is that the DAR files show that James Woodworth married Martha Sackett in 1840 while the Ashtabula Co. marriage records posted on the USGenWeb site for Ashtabula Co. do not have this marriage. But I would assume that the DAR has it documented. The 1855 marriage listed above, would be the year after Martha is said to have died. Could it be that the marriage to Mary Ann Sackett in 1855 is Mark's daughter Miriam/Mirian and that James Woodworth married Martha's sister? Best wishes, Thurmon TSFA Historian

Her son, Edgar Michaud was born 1892 in Indiana. Edgar served in WWI and was a mechanic. He died in 1978 in Cook Co., Il. Sorry, I can't squeeze more info out of this certificate.

This information was provided (I assume) by Edgar Michauds daughter, Janet Heierling. My interest is in finding the name of the mother of Janet. According to Edgar Michauds death cert., he was widowed, but the name of his deceased wife is not on the form. I am trying to see if there is a connection between Janet Heierling's mother and my family name of Jennings. I know absolutely nothing about Estelle Sackett. I was in hopes that someone would recognize this family group and could lead me to the name of Janet's mother. However, Thank you for your reply .....
