Sackett & Ann Eliza Brittin, would not have been old enough to serve in the Civil War. I have no documentation for his place of death or burial. However, Jacob R. Sackett (who is not included in the transcription) did serve - N.J. Civil War Record: Battalion Non-Commissioned Staff - Company A, First Regiment - Cavalry - Jacob R. Sackett, 1st Lieut, commissioned 5 Aug 1861, mustered in 14 Aug 1861 for 3 yrs; promoted Capt. Co. M, 14 June 1862 to replace Capt Thomas R.     3. I just looked just Dublin, PA up on the internet and see that it's also a location in Montgomery County, PA. That reminded me of an article I copied from The Pennsylvania Genealogical Magazine Voume 45, no. 2; Fall/Winter 2007. In it an article transcribing a booklet which was found and purchased by DAvid Green, FASG, a couple of Sacketts appear. The article is called "Sarah (Worthington) Walmsley's Book of Deaths Bucks, Montgomery, Philadelphia Counties, 1852-1876" For a listing of deaths of 1872, the following is transcribed: "Eiza wife of Jacob R Sackett of Moreland Mont'y died 6th mo. Sackett, Jr., age 75, of Fairless Hills, died Wednesday, November 28, 2007 at St. Mary Medial Center surrounded by his family. He was born and raised in Philadelphia to the late Russell N., Sr. and Gladys Bickley Sackett. He proudly served his country during the Korean War in the U.S. Navy and was a member of the Coast Guard Auxiliary. He was an Electronics Technician for Leeds and Northrup. He is survived by his children, Lorraine Fleming and her husband Mark, Loretta Adams and her husband Daniel, Russell S. Sackett and his wife Christine, Eileen Bayer and her husband Joseph, Kenneth Sackett and his wife Josephine; his 14 grandchildren; and his sister Blanche Hall and her husband George.
