Thurmon, My husband's great grandfather, Duncan Keir who married Lydia Sacket, had at least 4 birth years when I started doing research on him. It appeared that he lied about his age on his marriage license to appear younger than he really was. Anyway, I finally got the birth record from Canada and it verified one of the years. You do have Lydia Sacket information that I send you a number of years ago. Thanks for all you do for the Sacket list. Kari, According to the information you sent me for John Warren Sackett [father of Guy Woodford Sackett], he is the son of I#24688 Franklin B. Sackett and Anna E. Perry who descends from Simon Sackett and Mary McGraw. Now we know where he fits in. And I now have a bunch more information to get entered into the database. Kathy, As Sackett Historian for TSFA; I work on ALL the Sacketts and Sackett descendants I run across, or those who have been submitted to me. I got started on the Guy W. Sackett b. 1887 in Illinois, son of William Hiram Sackett when Alvin Oglesby sent me the Hess Cemetery listing for him and his wife, Della Mae Hendricks. The more I searched for him and his wife, the more interested I became. And when I used up all the resources I can access ... I asked for help. The members of the SACKETT mailing list are GREAT at helping those who ask. As for "what drives" me; I enjoy digging for information about people who lived in the past and am constantly amazed at how much information is being uploaded to the internet. The name Guy W. Sackett shows up in the census in Florida in the same time period and the same age as the Indiana Guy. There is also a passport application (1925) for Guy Woodford Sackett, b. Ft. George, Florida, 31 Oct 1885. His father is John Warren Sackett, dec., b. in Rantoul, Illinois. He wants a passport so he can go to Colombia, Chile, Bolivia, Uruguay, Brazil, and Venezuela for "construction work and sea service." He must be the Florida resident in census records, and probably wasn't in jail in Indiana in 1910 and 1920.   The one married to Della was Guy Wesley Sackett-residing in Anderson, Madison, Indiana, born August 31, 1887 in McLean Illinois. Per the WW II Draft Registration card in 1942. Illinois-his residence was Craston Pennsylvania at the time of the passport application issued January 22, 1925. He applied in New York and planned to be gone for about 3 years working in Colombia, Chile, Bolivia, Uruguay, Brazil and Venezuela for the Ulenker Company-construction work. He also states he was in Cuba for 3 days as a seaman.
