    3. Fri. Eve. 5-1-98 Kathleen, I did not copy p. 423. (I don't have the book.) You were sharp to catch it. But I don't think she had time for two relationships. Skip to the bottom of this. Pg. 323: Its plain to see there is a daughter whose name he doesn't know. "Among the children of Benedict Middleton and wife, Elizabbeth (Rogers) were Robert Middleton, gent. surveyor of highways (1736), vestryman Cople Parish, 1755, will proven November 30, 1773, married Mary. Their daughter Mary, became the wife of 323-George Rust. A grandson, John Crabb, son of daughter (?) and John Crabb, married 435-Elizabeth Rust, while their daughter, Jane appears from the best available information, to have married 328-Benedict Rust, which see." (Sentence just quits) Pg. 97 states: "The will of John Crabb, 1775, names 'daughter, Jane Middleton Rust", but her exact relationship, whether daughter, or step- daughter, is undertermined." She has to have been a SUPERWOMAN!!! ALL things to all men!! (Couldn't resist the joke!) Jane Middleton, b. 26 Feb. 1751, married Benedict Rust in 1766. She's 15!!! Then she had a child at 18, John Rust (460) in February,1769. Pregnant at 17 ..birth at 18. Had to be a mighty busy girl. She had 12 RUST children. (The last was Jeremiah Rust (471) b.after Jane Middleton Rust,b.1786.) pgs. 94 thru 98. Benedict died 1829. That makes her 78 years old..unless she got a divorce. She died in 1832. WHERE IS THAT LADY WHOSE BOOK CLEARED UP ALL ELLS. M. RUST'S MISTAKES? Better still...WHERE IS THE BOOK? Possibilities?: There were 2 Jane Middletons & in the writing, he erred & didn't catch it on edit. (Occasionally a family will use a name twice or more. Martha Jane Whatsit..called Jane cause of another Martha. Jane Elizabeth Whatsit...recordings used first name, Jane; but she goes by Elizabeth.) There was a divorce after 12 children...Maybe I'd want out too.(Grin). Not too likely here, I'd think. Maybe there is a wrong date..in marriage to Benedict. That would still have the woman having 14 or more children. (And I thought the old woman in the shoe was a myth!) Perhaps some of the children in the will are sons-in-law. They are often referred to as "sons". Do you have a list of her Rust children? I hope in my sleepiness last night, I didn't figure something studid..!! You'll figure it out if anyone can.
