I'm researching a family named MATKOVSKY. Family tradition indicates that one ancestor was an officer in Tsar Nicholas II's army, and another was a Russian Orthodox Bishop during the late Imperial period. Two questions: 1. Does anyone know of any good resources which might provide information about specific officers in the army, and bishops in the Orthodox church? and, 2.
