Charles, My great great grandfather was also from St. Petersburg. However, I still haven't found out how to go about finding records in Russia. That was one of the reason for starting this list. I was hopeful that a group might be able to provide more resources than one individual. I have scoured the web for Russian resources. I have found one site that is called the Odessa Project. They have tons of records from St. Petersburg. I have not found my gggranddad, but you might check it out. By the way, my great great grandfather's name was Francis B. Bell. That seems like an unlikely Russian name, so it's been slow going on that one. carol
