My great grand dad Naturalization papers said he was from Russia and had to stop his allegiance to Nichols II the Czar in 1904 when my great grand dad, Jacob M. Green/Greene was Naturalized in Norwich, CT, United States. On my grand mom's birth certificate, it says he was born in Russia. I had a professional genealogists say that what he learned through Norwich Deaths, Vol, 23: was that Jacob M. Green was born in Poland. It also says his parents were born in Poland but their names not shown and he is buried in St Mary cem in CT. Now he was born on a specific date. I have several ages for Jacob. Poland or Russia must have had control of exactly where he was born in that exact time. Is there any possible way I can find out the truth?
