Hi Fellow Rooters; My name is Patti Waldo Swaim and this is my 1st post as I subscribed only a min. ago. I am kindly requesting for a friend (who does not have NET but wants to start researching his Russian roots) the proper procedures to request birth records in Russia for his deceased ancestors? I am actively researching my WALDO family roots but have not attempted anywhere but in the US, so I am at a loss as to how I can help my friend. Of, course my 1st thought was to check RootsWeb for a mail list for Russia as I am an avid subscriber to rootsweb and I am very happy to find you all!
