Mary Preston (1678-1753), on down through several subsequent Benjamin Russells living in Ashford, CT, then Wm. Russell, father of Emeline and also with 2nd wife of Wm. Hepburn Russell of Pony Express fame. Wm. Russell (1563-96) who m. Ann Arnold (1540- ? ), their son John ( 1597-1680) who m. Phoebe Collins (1604-42), their son Rev. John Russell (1626-92) who m. 2nd Rebecca Newberry (1631-88), on down through Rev. Samuel Russell (1660-1731) who m. Abigail Whiting (1665-1733), and through daugh. Abigail who m. Rev.
