I believe the founder of the company, Thomas Russell, was born in Lancaster in 1811 and had at least three sons Thomas Robert Russell , Bernard Alfred Russell and Alfred Holgate Russell. Thomas Robert Russell was born in 1834 and died on 28th August 1894. His probate record says he left a wife, Katherine Eliza, and two sons; Walter and Stanley (watchmaker). In his will he left £29,373. 26 Abercomby Street is mentioned , possibly his house. In 1901 the company was renamed Russell's Limited If anyone has any further information I will be gratefull.
