My father said that he thought they came to Covington, Ind. from the Virginia area, although he is not sure where.At least John and Samuel did. John Sherman had some brothers and a sister. The names were Elmer, Henry, George, Fred and a sister named Cora. That's about all I know at this time. If any of these names ring a bell, say around the late 1800's, let me know. I keep runing into links from NC, but he says no. It wouldn't surprise me.
