    3. Dear Fellow Russells same song 10th verse --- I can't count the times I've posted my information on the RUSSELL-LIST, and posted on every message board known to man, but if at first you don't succed, try, try again May I introduce you to my brick wall ? Here we have one John S. RUSSELL born 1815 in what is now known as Marion Co. AL. In 1815 there was no Marion Co. AL. (it was Mississippi Territory) John S. married Martha Baker - born 1816 somewhere in SC - Vows were exchanged on 2/11/1841 in Cherokee Co. GA. After which time 6 children were born to this couple in the state of GA. CHILDREN were: John Thomas born 1842, James born 1844, Willis Taylor born 1846 (my g-grandfather) Lucy A. born 1849, William A. born 1851, Fillmore H (?) born 1854,. I have been unable to find this family on the census in GA. (I have not checked every county as of this date) I do find this family on the 1860 census in Marion Co. AL. however I don't know where they were living from 1841 to 1860. 1860 Marion Co. AL. census shows the father John S. from AL, the mother Martha from SC and all of the above children from GA. Futhur, John Thomas and Willis T. served in the Civil War from 1862 to 1865. John Thomas married one Eliza Jane Free 6/22/1861 and Willis T. married Francis Bell Wilson Barnes August of 1866. Willis T. migrated to Itawamba Co. Mississippi around 1880 and is buried at Mt. Plesant Cemetary in Itawamba Co. MS. and John Thomas migrated to Maud OK.. and is buried at the Cummings Cemetary in Maud, OK. At the present I have no information on any other member of this family. I am seeking information about the parents and/or siblings of John S. RUSSELL or anything on the other children. If there is anyone out there that has any information about this family please contact me at dsdavis@intop.net Thank You Donna RUSSELL Davis
