Ireland abt. 1796, d. 21 Dec. 1872). 1860 Census (Marquette Co. WI) records show neighboring families headed by Hance RUSSELL (b. abt. 1823), Francis RUSSELL (b. abt. 1825), Samuel RUSSELL (b. abt. 1829), & James LOW(E) (b. abt. 1827) married to Jane RUSSELL (b. abt. 1832). At present time, I am assuming Hugh is the father of Hance, Francis, Samuel, and Jane. In Hugh's household, the following also appear: Margaret & Robert Russell (both born around 1815 (not twins though as later census records will show). Margaret is 18-19 years Hugh's junior. Don't know if she could be wife, possibly 2nd wife, or daughter of Hugh, but she would definitely be too young to be mother of above children. Would love to share any info about this family. Jane Russell is my GG Grandmother. After James Low's death in 1869, she married again to a man named Thomas Black. To this union, a daughter, Maggie Black was born. Maggie Black is my G Grandmother.
