Dear Evelyn, May have hit a bit of luck. Using the LDS FamilySearch web site, I found the following - Mary Elizabeth RUSSEL Birth: 13 Jan 1877 - Clonakitty, Cork, Ireland Parents - Father: Thomas RUSSEL, Mother: Elizabeth Russel SPILLER Please keep in mind the LDS data is frequently erroneous, but usually a good place to start. The only path to true genealogy would be to take this lead and try to obtain a birth record from Cork. Further search in the LDS site might turn up information about Thomas RUSSEL and Elizabeth SPILLER. I found that the surname SPILLER is very common around the Clonakitty, Cork area, in fact many girls named Elizabeth SPILLER but all record dates are far to early to be a link. Hoping this helps a bit, James Russell CLARK, Jr. ----- Original Message ----- From: <emharding37@picknowl.com.au> To: <RUSSELL-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Saturday, November 09, 2002 5:11 PM Subject: [RUSSELL-L] RUSSELL Mary Elizabeth c1870s Ireland > Hope to find some info on my grandmother, Mary Elizabeth RUSSELL born in either Cork or Dublin in Ireland c mid 1870s.
