Does anyone know of an Allen Russell in 1846 TX? I found mention of him as witness to a land sale in Cherokee County, TX at that time. The land purchaser was Samuel C. Box, and his second wife was Nancy G. Russell Box. I am still trying to find which Russell family that she connects to, and maybe this Allen is a clue. Thanks, Mary Jo
