His wife's name was Julia, (b. 1793) and he had the following known children: Albert King Russell, b. 1824 Francy Russell, (F) b. 1830 John Russell, b. 1834 Fletcher Russell, b. 1836 Cornelia Russell, b. 1838 William Russell, b. 1840 Sarah Russell, b. 1842 Albert was my Great-Great Grandfather. His son, Albert Herbert Russell, was my great grandfather. He was a farmer, contractor, constable, deputy Sherrif, postmaster, and he ran a drug store, a grocery store and a cotton gin. He was a member and leader of Savage's Methodist Church where he was a deacon and served for many years as the treasurer. He was in politics, serving as a member of the Gates County Board of Supervisors, Commisioner of Revenue and was a member of the Gates County School Board. He accomplished all of these things with a limited education. He had two brothers, Benjamin and Walter. He was raised in Nansemond County Va. Any info on Elvy or his wife would be greatly appreciated.
