She remained on their farm and in 1871(?) remarried to John S. Russell. In the 1880 US Census they have two children, Naomie and Berecenies, in addition to Sarah's 18yr old daughter (my gr grandmother, Effie James (Virginia)(Holt) Newsome). I have a piece of mail from them, which the postmark places them in cooper County, Missouri after April 1887. i also found a land grant record dated 1872(?) that shows that a John S.
