My great grandmother was Della's sister Mary. Della had 2 sisters Mary & Myrtie and a brother, Jessie. Her father was John Russell. His father was Samuel Russell and mother was Mary Ann Forcum (from Deleware). Her parents were Joshua Forcum and Rebecca Curtis. His parents are believed to be James and Nancy Russell because they are listed as living with Samuel and Mary in the 1860 census. Samuel was 39 and James was 63, Nancy 64. I found John Russell's death certificate on Ancestry.com earlier tonight. He was born April 20, 1851 and died Oct 14, 1912. I was told by my cousin that when Della wanted to marry at 16 that Jessie had to buy a marriage bond for her to get married. John and Ellen Russell had already died. I have heard that Ellen's last name was Myers but misspelled on things as Miers. I hope you get this e-mail. I know it has been many years since the post. Hope all is well cousin.
