E. Davidson in Williamson Co., TN on 1 Nov 1844. This record also indicated that Ann was a daughter of Josiah Davidson, Junior of Hickman Co., TN (but I don't know the source of her father's name...unless his name was actually on the marriage bond). Note: Actually, Josiah Davidson, Senior lived in Hickman Co., TN in 1830-1850 (per the census) and his son, Josiah Davidson, Junior, lived in Rutherford Co., TN in 1830 and 1840 (and then in Fulton Co., KY in 1850). Josiah Davidson, Junior married Mary Finch in Rutherford in 1824, as I recall, and a daughter who would have been of "marrying age" in 1844 seems very likely (Josiah "Junior" had a female in his household in 1840, per the census, who was age 10-15). By the way, the surviving marriage bond transcription for Josiah Davidson and Mary Finch incorrectly showed Josiah's given name as "Jonah." Josiah Davidson, Senior (born about 1766 in VA; he was apparently married to a Mary "Polly" Unknown) was a son of William (born circa-1740s in VA; died around the 1830s in Orange/Guilford Co., NC) and Elizabeth (Unknown) Davidson. I have traced this overall Davidson family back to at least 1682 in James City Co., VA, and they are "represented" by "Family 10" at the Davidson/Davison/Davisson DNA testing website here: www.davidsongenes.org. I note that there was also a marriage between a Josiah Davidson and a Charity Mitchell in Williamson Co., TN back in 1816. I do not know which/whose Josiah Davidson that was....but one person believed that they had a son named David Davidson (though I am not sure what evidence there is of such a son), and "David" was a very common "given name" in the above-referenced "Family 10."
