Hi gang, I will try my brick wall again. I finally discovered through Elmwood Cemetery in Norfolk, Va., William P. Russell was born in NC, the son of Robert Russell and Tabitha (????). The family always said that William was b. in Hampton, Va. so I have spent many years researching that area. William was born ca 1828/29 and by 1850 was living in Norfolk, Va. Does anyone researching Russells in NC have any information on a Robert Russell and his wife Tabitha? I'm guessing the P. in William's name stands for PARKER and that could be Tabitha's maiden name. One of William's children also had the middle name of STAFFORD.. I'm crossing my fingers and toes. Thanks a bunch, Clare
