My g-g grandfather was a Levi Russell from Carabbus Co., NC. as noted in the web page article below. Levi's father was supposed to be a James Russell. He married someone from Mecklenburg Co. I have no reference documentation of this and if you have or find any conclusive documentation, please let me know.
