I have just made the connection to the Russell's of Sussex. My 3rd great Grandmother was Susanna Russell (1806-?)born in Litlington, Sussex, England. She married Samuel Reed (1796-1857)of Jevington, Sussex, England. Susanna's parents were John Russell(1783-1862)of West Dean, Sussex and Lucy Bartlett (1784-1867)of Lewes, Sussex. John and Lucy apparently hade 11 children! Would love to connect iwth others of this line to round it out and to go further back! I do research on the surname of Russell. I have in my ancestry a Bartlett Russell, John Russell and a Reed Russell.
