He married first Rosa Woodruff, and had one child, Charles. Both Rosa and child died. He married Allie Etta Hinds in 1903 in Roane Co., TN, and they had 11 children, four of whom are still living. I would like some information on Robert's parents and siblings. My grandfather, Robert's son, said that there was some sort of family disagreement and Robert had no contact with any of his family. Robert's obit, from the Rockwood Times, lists his parents as Henry and May Stevenson Russell. It also states that Robert had one sister, Julia Russell Sims of Chattanooga, Tn, and one brother, John Russell, of Alabama. My grandfather seems to think that the family controversy centered around this brother, John, and involved John shooting a man in Roane Co., TN, but I cannot find any proof of this. If anyone has any information on Robert Franklin Russell, his siblings, or his parents, please contact me.
