From [email protected] My Russell is the father of Samuel Russell. Do not know his name but he was born in Ct. He married a lady named Elizabeth and had a son named Samuel Russell born about 1820 in Va. Samuel lived and died in Kanawha County WV. He was a farmer and then a grocer and then he became a doctor during the Civil War when he was in the militia and he got his license to practice medicine from the state of WV in 1881 and he died in 1883. He was married to Sirena Turley in 1848 and they had 5 children and Sirena died in about 1863 and he married a widow Nancy Browden COBB and they had four little girls together. The family mostly stayed around the Kanawha County area of WV. Sure would love to know who old Sam's dad was. Pat
