Mine that I'm working on comes from Virginia into Georgia and then settled in Bedford and Marshall Counties of Tennessee. I'm trying to find all of Thomas Russell children and their families. Thomas is the son of William Madison Russell and Martha Callaway Russell. I come down Thomas and Rhoda Allen Russell son James Carroll Russell. I don't know very much about all the sons and daughters of Thomas and Rhoda and that is what I'm trying to learn about. Hello all, I've done fairly extensive research on the family of Habakkuk Russell (c170-1754) of Carteret County, NC. I'm looking for additional information on this family as well as contact with other descendants. Habakkuk's children include: 1. Ann Sophia Russell (c1742-c1795), she married Jonathan Hibbs 2. Rebecca Russell (b. c1744) 3. Sarah Russell (c1746-c1805), she married Nathaniel Wilder 4. David Russell Sr. (c1748-1813), he married (1) Anna Read, (2) Tabitha Hill 5. Abraham Russell (b. c1750) 6. Abigail Russell (b. c1752) I'm descended from David Russell Sr. and his first wife Anna Read through their son William Russell who moved his family to Jackson County, Illinois in the 1830s.. I'm extremely interested in any Russells eastern NC prior to 1800. My research indicates that Habakkuk Russell came from Russells out of Lower Norfolk and Princess Anne Counties in VA.
