Ann Ferris in Ottawa, Canada in 1835. When he married he did not list "parents" since he was Ch of Eng (on censuses) and she Roman Catholic. His children, Alexander, Peter Paul, James and AnnEllen were given what to my mind seem Scottish names. Just throwing this out there. I've checked an A.J.Russell who was in Ottawa at about the same time but he was Protestant. Yet to find parents of Robert (born about 1803 per marriage age).
