Karnes, 98, passed away on October 28, 2000. Oma was born on May 6, 1902 in Grandview, Arkansas and married James Maynard Karnes on March 27, 1927 in Berryville, Arkansas. He passed away on August 1, 1975. She is survived by her daughters, Bobbie B. Craig of Seattle and Doris Jean Clark of Mountlake Terrace; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. At her request, a private burial ceremony was held Wednesday. The family invites those who wish to celebrate her life to a memorial service to be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Bethany Baptist Church in Kenmore. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests remembrances be made to Bethany Baptist Missionary Fund. Arrangements are under the direction of Acacia Funeral Home.
