Hello. We have 461 members on this list and many people using the Russell message board which is gatewayed to this list. People join the list and leave the list every day. I am sure many people make contact with people searching their line of Russell but probably many more are disappointed at their lack of success. It helps if we ask questions and give people more than just a name. To make connections people need to know some area of the world and some time frame. I am sorry that we have no means of putting better directions on our message boards because I see messages every day with such scant information that I doubt anyone makes progress. I guess I am writing this to myself as much as to the long time members of this list because I catch myself rapidly deleting letters such as those I've described above. I am hoping that I can slow down and check my database better and maybe write a letter to those new researchers asking for better information. I keep thinking that they might have a valuable connection to my Russells that I will miss because of my impatience. So I am asking for your continuing patience and help with our new researchers and I am asking those of you who are new to the list to post your information on the list with what information you have ---at least Who--When--Where?
