    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/oZEBAIB/2640.3010.1.2.2.1.2.1 Message Board Post: Hi Veronica, I am glad to get your message. I am married to Paul Russell, who is the great grandson of Stephen Taylor Russell & Nancy Carolina Lane Russell. Paul's grandfather was John Riley Russell, son of Stephen and Nancy. I have seen some research that says John Russell was the son of Matthew Russell & Jane McIntire Russell, however, I have also seen the will of Matthew and there was no son named John listed in it. On what do you base your belief that John was Matthew's son? It would be terrific if there was some definite proof to this fact...however, as of this time, I have seen none.\ You also show that Mary Roberts Russell, died in 1853. What information do you have on this? Also, do you have any information about King David Crockett Russell's death? Please contact me at my e-mail address of jrussell44@aol.com. I would love to talk more about these Russells with you. What kind of photos do you have of Stephen? I have a couple of him also. Joy Russell

Sometimes some children have taken their share and moved away to new land. Sometimes elder sons get their share when they need it and are later omitted in the will. Still you are right to want some sort of documentation to show or prove a relationship, but wills are not the only means. But how bitter sweet to have a will as most of us search for only to find that it does not solve an issue. Tom --
