Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/oZEBAIB/5794 Message Board Post: I have a William Henry Russell born Hants 1851c whose name changed to Ruffell sometime in the 1880's - he married Susannah Keeping in 1877 as a Russell - this was his second marriage - his 6 children (all by Susannah) were all named as Ruffell as was Susannah in the 1901 census. He was in the Merchant Navy and served on the Oceana and died in Australia - he was taken to Sydney hospital after falling ill aboard - where he died in 1899 named as Henry Ruffel on the death cert.
