Am interested in connecting with any descendants of Peter Russell b: ca 1820-23 Montreal, Canada, d: 1890 Nankin Twp, Wayne Co, MI, and his first wife Ellen (Eleanor) Quigley b: ca 1821, maybe Ireland, d: 10 Jan 1869 Detroit, MI, from child birth fever. Ellen Quigley and some of her children are buried at Mt. Elliott Cem, Detroit, Wayne Co, MI. One of her children was Mary Ann Russell, b: abt 1844 in Canada, who married William Bartels, a grocer, and had at least two children, Louise and William. It is thought Louise married a widower, James H. Barber, with two children, George and Helen (Ellen?) and were in the Detroit area 6 Ward in 1910 Census. Am not sure who Wm, Jr. married. I am a descendant of Peter Russell and his second wife, Agnes Ross, widow of Patrick Meahan, b: Ireland. Would appreciate any contact with descendants of Peter and Ellen Quigley Russell. ...Jo
