Author: maggie1808 Surnames: Russell Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/surnames.russell/6757/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Am searching for info on my g.grandfather Thomas Russell b.30/08/1860 in Newarthill,Lanark.Scotland.The last i see of him is on the 1901 census where the family is living in Hamilton, Lanark, Scotland. His wife,Mary,and the 3 youngest children (George,James and Lizzie) emigrated to Australia in 1914. No Thomas! Another daughter Susan Barr (married name) had come to Aus. a few years before with her husband and children. There may have been other children of Thom.and Mary's who emmigrated as well. Thomas' parents were Thomas and Susan. Is there anyone at all related to these names who might be able to shed some light on Thomas' last years and where they were spent.I've been searching wth no luck for years.Any help would be so appreciated.
