I'm guessing your "Jeanne" has Russell as the maiden name but just making sure. I'd appreciate any information you may have.

Several are buried at 2 cemeteries in the Appleton area. Gr. Gr. Gr. grandfather James Calvin Russell had a son named Franklin Perry Russell. He was married to Lydia Owen. Their sons were John Henry, Walter Lawrence , Emmett, Oliver, William King, and Delmar. Is your Franklin the son of one of these? I have been to one of the cemeteries and have digital photos of some of the Russell markers.

George W. was married to Vesta Brents and they had a son names Herbert Alvin. I need to confirm James Monroes parentage. Can you help? new e-mail is turkey@morrilton.net
My records show that 2 Russell's had daughters in the 1810 Christian Co. Census old enough to marry in 1820. These were my ancestor, Ephriam, who was married to Elizabeth Shelton, and Robert Russil. (This was probably a misspelling.) Robert was not in the 1820 Christian Co. census and probably deceased and I also noted that Francis White was the bondsman for the marriage of John Breading and Elizabeth Russell. I also note that Francis White married Catherine Ann Russell on Oct. 17, 1820. Was this Elizabeth's mother? Don Russell

FYI to TN Russell researchers, Wednesday, June 19, 1878 Died, in the neighborhood of Morganton, Loudon County, Tenn., a few days ago, Barclay M. Russell, a well known citizen, near 80 years of age. His death was sudden, supposed to apoplexy. The above was found in newspaper abstracts at the website listed below. Most of the papers are Blount Co. but pertain to Loudon and Monroe Co., too.
