To those seeking info on Mahlon Hough Russell He was born on Aug 7 1802 in Loudon Co. VA. he died in 1830 His wife was Mary Ann Moore. They married 23 Oct 1822 in Loudon Co> VA. Mahlon was the son of William Russell and Edith (Smith) Russell William was born in 1745-46 in VA. He died 13 May 1813 in Loudon Co. VA. His first marriage was to Ruth (Russell) some info says she was his cousin. She was a daughter of Robert Russell and Hannah (Large) Russell She was born about 1745 ?? and died about 1789 in Loudon Co. I have history back to 1625 on Robert Russells side of this family. I have all of William and Ruths kids and after he died and remarried Edith Smith I have their kids also. They had a total of 17 children. Clare, The LDS FamilySearch site is frequently incomplete and erroneous, but it lists the following record: William Parker RUSSELL Birth: 24 Aug 1825, Charlton, Worcester, Massachusetts Parents - Father: Daniel Fisk RUSSELL, Mother: Louisa RIDER Don't know if this fits. No clear indication of where the Parker middle name came from but might be a surname of the father's mother (most likely) or mother's mother. Hi Folks, I have a William Parker Russell b. ca 1827. Family gossip says he was "from" Hampton, Va. No one knows where he was born but in 1850 he was in Norfolk, Va. Does anyone have anyone who might fit into this name? Does anyone have a Russell - Parker relationship? Since William names 2 of his sons Robert Taylor Russell (1st one died), does anyone know of a Russell - Taylor connection? Thanks so very much. Clare

In 1860 there were 2 Robert Russells living in Portsmouth, Norfolk Co., Va. One was age 21 a Seaman, place of birth, VA. At his time he is listed as being on "U.S. Receiving Ship Pennsylvania" The other Robert Russell is listed as age 32 or 52 (the 3 or 5 was not clear). He was listed as a seaman, place of birth possibly NY (not clear but definitely not VA) For this census he was listed as "United States Naval Hospital" Does anyone know anything about either of these 2 Robert Russells? Married Sarah Elizabeth Davis Humphreys (1855-1926). Second marriage for both. Children from Sarah's 1st marriage are Mary Jane, Isabelle and Frank Humphreys. Children from George's 1st marriage are Merrill, Marcina and George Elwood Breeze. Children from George and Sarah are El Nora, Margaret Elizabeth, Elmer Rheuben (my grand father) John Elzie and Eva Ruth. To my knowledge George worked for the Santa Fe Railroad, also built houses around Pratt Kansas. Also beleive both are buried in Missouri. Elmer and family are currently around Pratt Kansas.
