Hi, I have obtained new info and thought I'd give it another try on the list. I am looking for info on John Russell that is from VA. He should be born about 1850. He married Sarah Wilson. They ended up in Scott County, TN. They had one child that I have found but believe that there are more. Walter Rose Russell born in 1892. Walter married Elizabeth "Lizzie" Rice. Walter and Lizzie later moved to campbell County, TN where they died in 1969 and 1974 respectively. This is my wife's line and proves very difficult as she only has six living relatives. No one can give any ideas that can assist. One clue is that "somewhere near Walter" was a parent or grandparent that was full blooded cherokee indian.
